Fitter Machinist Apprentice (Metal Fabrication)

About the role

Tesh Engineering & Fabrication is seeking a motivated and reliable Metal Fabrication & Engineering Apprentice (Fitter Machinist) in Pendle Hill, NSW. It is a full-time apprenticeship with on-the-job training, designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in engineering and manufacturing and learn the skills of a qualified Metal Fabricator.

What you will learn

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling metal components
• MIG, TIG and stick welding techniques
• Operating fabrication equipment and hand tools safely
• Using machinery such as guillotines, press brakes, drills and grinders
• Performing quality checks and following workplace health and safety procedures

Required profile

• Genuine interest in engineering and metal fabrication
• Reliable, punctual and eager to learn
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in quality workmanship
• Can work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail
• Current driver's licence preferred but not essential
• Year 10 or above preferred
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency or full working rights (required for apprenticeships)
