Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

About the role

Zenith Energy is expanding its FP&A function and needs a leader to own budgeting, forecasting, long‑term planning and performance analysis. Based at the Rivervale head office, you will work directly with the General Manager Finance and senior leaders across operations, projects and corporate development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgets, periodic forecasts and multi‑year financial planning.
• Develop and maintain financial models linking operational assumptions to revenue, costs, headcount, cash flow and profitability.
• Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate proposals, risks and strategic options.
• Explain performance variances, identify improvement opportunities and prepare concise reporting for senior leadership and the Board.
• Design and track KPIs that connect operational performance with financial results.
• Partner with business leaders on cost management, resource allocation and commercial decisions.
• Improve FP&A processes through automation, dashboards and consistent reporting standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance with CA or CPA qualification.
• Significant FP&A experience, including end‑to‑end budgeting and forecasting in a complex, capital‑intensive business.
• Proven track record of building or transforming FP&A processes, models and systems.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
