Financial Controller – ANZ Operations

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Financial Controller to establish and lead the finance function for a fast‑growing international company entering the Australian and New Zealand market. Reporting to the General Manager – Australia, the role will be based in Brisbane and will involve regular travel across ANZ.

Key responsibilities

• Build the finance organisation from the ground up, creating policies, processes and reporting frameworks.
• Provide financial control, group reporting and analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Lead acquisition due‑diligence, integration and post‑transaction reporting.
• Partner with commercial leadership to drive profitability and support the transition from a distributor to a manufacturing operation.
• Develop a centralized finance support model for the ANZ region as the business scales.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years post‑qualification experience in finance, preferably within high‑growth or transformational environments.
• Proven experience in acquisitions, integrations and group reporting.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work closely with senior leadership.
• Demonstrated capability to design and implement finance structures where none exist.
