Finance Officer (Maternity Leave Cover)

About the role

RP Infrastructure is seeking a motivated Finance Officer to cover a 12‑month maternity leave. This hybrid position is based in Sydney and offers a great opportunity for an early‑career finance professional to gain exposure to a national consulting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue client invoices and manage accounts receivable.
• Prepare bank files for weekly payments.
• Compile weekly payment listings and cash‑flow reports for senior review.
• Monitor credit‑card transaction entries and reconcile statements.
• Liaise with project teams to ensure timesheet and billing accuracy.
• Provide ad‑hoc administrative support to the Finance team as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a finance or accounts support role.
• Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams.
• Experience in professional services, construction or project‑based businesses is preferred.
