Finance Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Officer to join ALPA’s Darwin support office, working in a high‑volume ERP environment to process accounts and support the financial operations of remote First Nations communities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end electronic accounts receivable and payable for the assigned business area.
• Perform transactional cash management, including regular bank reconciliations.
• Drive active debtor management through telephone contact, written communication and internal reporting.
• Compile data for timely monthly and quarterly BAS and PAYG submissions.
• Provide finance‑related support to internal and external stakeholders, including troubleshooting and system familiarisation.
• Participate in telephone overflow roster and provide reception relief as needed.
• Contribute proactive ideas to improve internal financial systems and processes.

Required profile

• Highly analytical and detail‑oriented finance professional.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to cross‑cultural environments.
• Experience working in a high‑volume data environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (highly desirable).
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using electronic accounts processing software within an ERP system.
