Finance Officer - Accounts Processing

About the role

Randstad is recruiting for a Finance Officer position with ALPA (Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation), one of Australia's largest Aboriginal-owned benevolent corporations, based in Darwin, Northern Territory. Working under the direction of an Accountant in an ERP environment, you will handle high-volume, standardised accounts processing in a quality-controlled, customer-focused way, supporting the social and economic development of remote First Nations communities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end electronic accounts receivable and accounts payable for your assigned business area
• Handle transactional cash management, including regular bank reconciliations
• Drive active debtor management through telephone contact, written communication and internal reporting
• Compile processing data for timely and accurate monthly and quarterly BAS and PAYG submissions
• Support internal and external stakeholders with finance queries, troubleshooting and system familiarisation
• Join the telephone overflow roster and provide reception relief
• Help improve ALPA's internal financial systems and processes

Required profile

• Analytical, detail-oriented finance professional with excellent communication skills, able to work in a high-volume data environment
• Proven experience in electronic accounting, finance or data processing
• Strong interpersonal skills, adaptable to cross-cultural environments and diverse languages
• Prior experience in the Northern Territory is beneficial

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly desirable
