Finance Manager – Lead Finance Transformation

About the role

Lead finance transformation within a purpose‑driven organisation. This newly created senior position reports to the Financial Controller and oversees a small finance team in Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of finance professionals.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end financial reporting processes.
• Own treasury activities, cash‑flow forecasting and banking relationships.
• Oversee lease accounting and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Lead annual external audit processes and statutory compliance obligations.
• Oversee revenue accounting, applying AASB 15 across multiple funding and revenue streams.
• Maintain robust financial controls, governance and risk‑management frameworks.
• Support finance transformation initiatives and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified with strong technical accounting expertise.
• Proven track record of leading high‑performing finance teams.
• Hands‑on leadership style with ability to coach, develop and motivate staff.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge and practical application of AASB 15 revenue recognition.
• Experience managing treasury functions, cash‑flow and investments.
• Strong lease accounting expertise.
• Proven experience leading external audits and compliance activities.
• Advanced financial systems capability, preferably TechnologyOne.
