Finance Manager

About the role

Aje Collective is seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to lead financial reporting, tax compliance and treasury functions across its multi‑brand fashion group. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end close, general ledger maintenance and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly reporting packs, inventory reports and government reporting (ABS, Payment Times).
• Oversee accounts receivable, inventory accuracy, fixed‑asset records and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Manage banking relationships, covenant reporting and FX hedging strategy.
• Lead external tax compliance (GST/VAT, sales & use tax, corporate income tax) in Australia, US, UK and EU.
• Coordinate year‑end audit, financial statement preparation and consolidation.
• Develop and monitor finance controls, process improvements and system enhancements (ERP, Adaptive Insights).
• Coach and develop the finance team, including offshore members in Manila.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with Big 4 audit experience.
• Retail industry background covering cash, inventory and lease accounting.
• Proven ability to implement robust processes and controls.
• Strong analytical, forecasting and budgeting skills to support strategic decisions.
• Excellent understanding of local and international accounting standards.
