Finance Manager – First Hire for Australian Entity

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Manager to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing financial services business as it launches its Australian entity. This is the first finance hire in Australia, reporting directly to the UK CFO and offering a unique chance to shape the finance team from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Own the day‑to‑day finance function for the Australian entity, reporting to the UK CFO.
• Manage funding transactions and month‑end close, ensuring robust financial controls.
• Act as the primary finance contact for the region, providing insights for value‑add decisions.
• Support the build‑out of a finance team as the business expands.

Required profile

• CPA or CA qualified, with a background in public accounting.
• Experience in financial services, fintech or lending is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, initiative‑driven mindset.
