Finance Manager, Everyday Banking

About the role

Westpac is hiring a Finance Manager for its Everyday Banking Finance team within the Consumer Division. The role partners with the retail deposits business to turn financial performance into clear insights and meaningful action, shaping decisions across revenue, balance sheet, product performance and expenses, and supporting planning, forecasting and key business initiatives. It is a permanent position based in Sydney with hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the retail deposits business to deliver financial insights and support business decisions.
• Contribute to decisions on revenue, balance sheet, product performance and expenses.
• Support planning, forecasting and key business initiatives.
• Work alongside a collaborative finance team focused on helping Everyday Banking and its customers.

Required profile

• Proven experience at manager level, confident partnering with senior stakeholders and giving trusted financial advice.
• Strong financial analysis and critical thinking, with a clear understanding of what drives business performance.
• Ability to turn complex analysis into clear, actionable insights and commercial advice.
• Experience in planning, forecasting, management reporting and business partnering; retail banking or broader financial services experience is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Advantageous: TM1, Cognos Cubes, SQL, Think-cell or similar analytical and reporting tools.
