Finance Business Partner

About the role

Ivory Group is recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a local Council in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. The role supports the Council's financial management and reporting, including budgeting, financial reporting, fixed asset management and grants administration. It is a full-time position of up to 5 months, starting as soon as possible, with flexible hours and up to 2 days working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Support budget preparation, monitoring and financial analysis
• Oversee fixed asset management and maintain the grants register
• Prepare financial reports, reconciliations and variance analysis
• Assist with GST, FBT and taxation compliance
• Support financial systems administration and advise internal stakeholders

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, fixed assets and financial reporting
• Local Council or government experience highly desirable
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

• Pay of $60-$70 per hour plus superannuation
