Finance Business Partner

About the role

Explorers Early Learning is seeking a commercially curious Finance Business Partner to join its Finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will partner with centre and operational leaders to turn financial and operational data into forward‑looking insight and timely decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate annual budgets and rolling forecasts across centres and Support Office functions using driver‑based models.
• Prepare group, entity and centre‑level monthly management reporting with commentary on changes and implications.
• Investigate performance movements, challenge assumptions and identify underlying operational causes.
• Identify emerging risks and opportunities early, quantify impact and recommend actions.
• Partner with operational leaders to implement actions that improve centre performance and track results.
• Model new centres, acquisitions and scenarios to support commercial decisions.
• Use AI and automation to streamline reporting, forecasting, data preparation and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Financial Control and IT to improve data quality and build a single source of truth.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with CA or CPA qualification.
• At least six years’ experience in commercial finance, FP&A, business partnering or advisory.
• Proven track record of proactively raising risks, opportunities and recommendations.
• Experience in complex, multi‑entity, multi‑site organisations, preferably privately owned.
• Strong business partnering and influencing skills with operational stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
• Experience with driver‑based modelling and large data sets.
• Hands‑on approach to AI and automation tools.
• Strong data discipline for structuring, cleaning and validating information.
