Field Service Technician – Tamworth Area

About the role

Join Tomra’s mission to transform recycling through smart technology. As a Field Service Technician you will ensure our Reverse Vending Machines and bulk processing systems operate at peak performance across the Tamworth region.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and servicing on automated recycling equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, automation, sensor and communication issues.
• Install and commission new Reverse Vending Machines and bulk processing systems.
• Monitor equipment performance, report faults and suggest improvements.
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to site partners.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and focus on safety.
• Ability to work independently in a field‑based environment and travel throughout the service area.
• Valid driver’s licence with a good driving history.
• Experience troubleshooting automated, mechanical, electrical or industrial equipment.

Required skills

• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Automation systems, ultrasonic sensors, conveyor systems.
• Network diagnostics, CANbus, wireless and wired communication technologies.
• Experience with electronic PCBs, motors (AC, DC, stepper, single and 3‑phase).
• Pneumatic and control system knowledge.
