Field Service Technician – Pump Systems

About the role

An established pump systems manufacturer and service provider, advertised by Workforce Extensions Geelong, is seeking field service technicians. The role covers commissioning, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing pumping systems used in commercial plumbing and fire protection applications, which combine mechanical, electrical, plumbing and motor control components. Work is allocated according to your skills and qualifications, with training and support.

Key responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining pumps and associated equipment
• Investigating faults, diagnosing problems and carrying out repairs
• Commissioning and testing systems
• Identifying and recommending repairs or upgrades
• Communicating with customers and coordinating with office support staff
• Completing accurate job reports and service records

Required profile

• A trade qualification in diesel mechanics, electrical, plumbing or mechanical fitting; applicants without a formal qualification but with substantial hands-on experience and strong troubleshooting ability are also considered
• Previous pump industry experience is not essential
• Current Australian driver's licence and full Australian working rights
• Comfortable travelling between jobs and working independently and with other technicians

• Ability to work safely, independently and as part of a team
