Field Service Technician – Northern Beaches

About the role

Join Tomra’s mission to transform recycling through smart technology. As a Field Service Technician you will maintain and service Reverse Vending Machines and bulk processing systems across the Northern Beaches, ensuring reliable operation and a seamless recycling experience for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and servicing on automated recycling equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, automation, sensor and communication issues.
• Install and commission new Reverse Vending Machines and bulk processing systems at customer sites.
• Monitor equipment performance, produce service reports and document fault resolutions.
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to site partners.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and focus on safety.
• Ability to work independently in a field‑based environment and travel throughout the service area.
• Valid driver’s licence with a good driving history.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining automated mechanical or electrical equipment.

Required skills

• Ultrasonic sensors, conveyor systems, pneumatic sorting equipment.
• Communication networks, control systems, CANbus.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, network diagnostics.
• Experience with PCB’s, AC/DC/stepper/3‑phase motors.
• Knowledge of wireless and wired communication technologies.
