Field Service Technician – Launceston

About the role

Maintain, service and repair Tomra's reverse vending machines (RVM) and bulk processing equipment across Tasmania, ensuring maximum uptime and customer satisfaction. The role involves frequent travel between sites, autonomous work, and a rotating roster that includes weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Service and maintain installed equipment, including conveyors, sensors, motors and communications.
• Report on service assignments and faults.
• Install kiosks and bulk processing equipment at new sites.
• Provide excellent customer service to partners and the public.
• Analyse potential product improvements and report to the local service team.
• Undertake cleaning of equipment.

Required profile

• Electrical/Electronic Trade Certificate OR Disconnect‑Reconnect Certificate.
• Previous experience in a similar electrical role.
• Experience interacting face‑to‑face with customers.
• Strong diagnostic and analytical capabilities for mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic equipment and replacing circuit boards, sensors and other components of RVMs.
• Unrestricted driver’s licence and willingness to provide a full driving history.
• Ability to work a 7‑day rotating roster, including weekends.
