Field Service Technician – Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation

About the role

Rotork is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join its Brisbane service team, providing technical support, maintenance, commissioning and repair across Queensland and interstate locations.

Key responsibilities

• Commission, service and fault‑find electric, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators.
• Execute preventative maintenance programmes and respond to breakdowns.
• Carry out installation, retrofit, testing, calibration and verification of equipment.
• Produce detailed service and technical reports and provide on‑site technical support.
• Identify opportunities for upgrades and equipment improvements.

Required profile

• Current unrestricted Queensland Electrical Licence.
• Strong industrial maintenance or field service experience with ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout Queensland and interstate.
• Excellent customer‑facing communication skills.

Required skills

• Electrical, instrumentation and control system troubleshooting.
• Experience with electric, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators.
• Calibration and commissioning of industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with PLC, SCADA or other industrial control systems.
• EEHA or hazardous area qualifications (highly desirable).
