Fan Growth & Community Engagement Lead

About the role

The Fan Growth & Community Engagement Lead will drive the expansion of the Sydney Sixers fan base and strengthen ties with local communities through targeted engagement initiatives. Reporting to the Event Manager, the role spans match‑day activations for both the WBBL and BBL as well as year‑round programs that inspire participation in cricket.

Key responsibilities

• Grow the Sydney Sixers fanbase and deepen community connection through engagement initiatives.
• Convert community participation into fandom and foster repeat attendance and participation.
• Deliver measurable outcomes across acquisition, attendance, sentiment and community cricket impact.
• Plan and execute events and activations on WBBL and BBL match days.
• Lead 365‑day programs that encourage people of all ages to play and love cricket.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Previous experience in fan engagement or events.
• Passion for attracting children and families to sport.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work flexible hours during cricket season.
