Family Day Care Educator

About the role

Cumberland City Council runs a home-based Family Day Care service that offers professional, supervised early education and care for children up to 13 years old, delivered in the educator's private home and registered with the council. The service follows the Education and Care National Law and Regulations, Family Assistance Legislation and the Guiding Principles. The position is advertised as a contractor role based in the Merrylands area.

Required profile

• A passion and desire to work with young children and their families.
• An ACECQA-approved qualification in Education and Care, at least Certificate III level.
• A current Working with Children Check number; barred workers cannot apply.
• Ability to commit to more than one year with the service.
• Eligibility to work in Australia and agreement to provide pre-employment checks such as criminal record checks and proof of right to work.

Required skills

• Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis and CPR certificate.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Creativity and flexibility.
