External Auditor Senior Associate

About the role

As a Senior Associate in PwC's Private Clients team, you will provide high‑quality external audit services to a range of organisations, from fast‑growing businesses to large entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and enhancing financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing external audits of financial statements in line with regulatory and professional standards.
• Conduct substantive testing and detailed audit procedures to identify risks and ensure accuracy.
• Evaluate internal controls and financial processes to support audit objectives.
• Prepare clear audit documentation, reports, and findings for clients and senior team members.
• Identify and communicate audit issues, collaborating with clients to resolve financial reporting challenges.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance audit efficiency and quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in external audit, including at least one year as a Senior Auditor or equivalent with exposure to private clients.
• Bachelor's degree in commerce or finance, with progress toward or completion of a recognised CA qualification.
• Strong analytical ability to assess financial information, identify risks, and apply professional judgement.
• Effective communication skills for preparing audit findings and interacting with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Foundational knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
