External Audit – Expressions of Interest (Canberra)

About the role

BDO’s Canberra Audit practice is expanding and is seeking expressions of interest from audit professionals at levels ranging from Auditor to Director. The role offers the chance to contribute to high‑quality financial statement audits, develop trusted client relationships and help strengthen BDO’s market presence in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to high‑quality financial statement audits for public, private and not‑for‑profit clients.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with finance teams, executives and audit committees.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting/Commerce with CA or CPA qualification (completed or in progress).
• Experience conducting financial statement audits, preferably in government, private or not‑for‑profit sectors.
• Ability to plan, execute and document audit work in line with methodology and standards.
• Strong analytical, written communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance.
