Experienced Railway Operators & Welders – Join Mader Group

About the role

Mader Group is seeking experienced railway personnel to work on a variety of rail infrastructure and maintenance projects across Australia. The role may involve rostered, shutdown, regional, or FIFO assignments depending on project needs, with a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Operate rail excavators, graders, and front‑end loaders on maintenance sites.
• Perform flash‑butt and aluminothermic welding on rail components.
• Carry out general railway maintenance tasks as required.
• Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of rail‑related experience.
• Rio Tinto induction and HR Truck licence are highly desirable.
• Front‑end loader qualification and experience are advantageous.
• Valid full driver’s licence and White Card.
• Ability to pass medical, drug & alcohol testing and provide a recent National Police Check.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and a professional attitude.
