Experienced Multi-Combination Truck Driver (MC)

About the role

Randstad is looking for a highly skilled and versatile truck driver for its busy Townsville, Queensland operations. You will operate a diverse fleet of trucks from Heavy Rigid (HR) up to Multi-Combination (MC), covering local Townsville deliveries and regional runs across Queensland. A major focus is the safe transport, loading and unloading of heavy mobile plant equipment, so specialised experience in this area is essential.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy vehicles (HR, HC and MC) safely and efficiently.
• Transport heavy mobile plant equipment and machinery to local and regional QLD sites.
• Safely load, unload and secure heavy machinery and oversized freight.
• Complete paperwork, logbooks and run sheets accurately.
• Perform pre-start checks and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Follow road safety regulations, fatigue management guidelines and company OH&S policies.

Required profile

• Valid driver's licence, preferably MC (MC highly advantageous).
• Demonstrated hands-on experience transporting and delivering heavy mobile plant equipment.
• Knowledge of load restraint guidelines for heavy machinery.
• Clean driving history, with a current driving record available.
• Passes a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screen.
• Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and a safety-first mindset.
