Delivery Drivers (MR) & Freight Handlers - Immediate Start

About the role

Protech Townsville is looking for reliable, safety-focused Delivery Drivers (MR) and Freight Handlers to support its clients across the Townsville region. The work suits people who enjoy the transport and logistics industry, either on the road delivering freight or in the warehouse handling it. Immediate starts are available, with early morning and afternoon shifts, and ongoing casual work Monday to Friday up to 11-hour shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Safe and efficient delivery of freight and goods
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles and trucks
• Sorting and scanning freight
• Manual handling of parcels and cartons
• Operating forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
• Vehicle pre-start inspections
• Completing delivery documentation and paperwork
• Following workplace health and safety procedures

Required profile

• Delivery Drivers: current MR licence or higher (essential); previous delivery driving experience highly regarded
• Freight Handlers: current licence; experience loading and unloading freight desirable
• Previous warehouse, freight, logistics or labouring experience highly regarded
• Ability to perform repetitive manual handling tasks and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, safety-focused, with strong communication and customer service skills
• Must pass a pre-employment urine drug screen

Required skills

• Delivery Drivers: current MR licence or higher (essential)
• Delivery Drivers: current forklift licence (LF) (essential)
• Freight Handlers: current forklift licence (LF) desirable
