Executive Manager - Commercial Banking

About the role

CommBank is looking for an Executive Manager to lead a high-performing Commercial Banking team in Sydney. The team supports medium to large businesses across Australia, focusing on companies with turnover of $30m-$150m or commercial lending requirements of $10m-$50m. The role covers transactional banking, commercial lending, working capital finance, asset finance and risk management, with a strong risk lens aligned to the bank's risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Use industry expertise to identify opportunities in a changing commercial landscape and develop strategies
• Coach and mentor the team, building a culture where everyone feels empowered to excel
• Build strong, lasting client relationships and help the team deliver outstanding service
• Engage closely with key stakeholders for sustainable outcomes
• Understand complex client needs, including risk and compliance
• Drive deal execution with proven origination, structuring and negotiation skills

Required profile

• A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance and/or Commerce (highly regarded)
• People leadership, coaching a team toward customer focus, risk and credit skills
• Exceptional commercial acumen and credit understanding
• Strong leadership capability and a robust risk management focus
• Success-oriented, engaged and motivated
