Excavator Operator - Open Cut Mining

About the role

Thiess Mount Pleasant Operation is looking for experienced excavator operators with open cut experience and refined operating skills in heavy earthmoving equipment, including Liebherr 9600, 996, 9400, 9350 and Cat 6060 excavators; a Hitachi excavator skill set will also be considered.

Required profile

• Proven ability to operate heavy earthmoving machinery in a mining environment
• Experience operating large heavy plant
• Open cut experience and good communication skills, willing to be part of a high-performance team
• Commitment to the highest safety, community and environmental standards
• Initiative, flexibility and a proactive, productive mindset
• Ability to work to direction and be self-motivated

Working conditions

• Rotating lifestyle roster 5/4, 4/5, 5/5 covering day, night and weekend work
• Permanent full-time positions
