Excavator Operator

About the role

InfraBuild Recycling, a 2026 AFR BOSS Best Places to Work Gold Winner and World Steel Association Sustainability Champion, is hiring an Excavator Operator for its InfraBuild Recycling Wetherill Park site. The role covers a range of operating duties in the metal recycling yard and is a permanent day-shift position, 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks
• Operating excavators and forklifts and performing manual handling tasks
• Maintaining cleanliness in the yard and operational areas
• Carrying out daily checks on mobile plant
• Following safety procedures at all times

Required profile

• Experience operating an excavator is essential
• Forklift licence is highly regarded
• Experience in scrap recycling, construction or manufacturing is highly advantageous
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced yard environment
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and enjoyment of working in a collaborative team
