Events & Communications Officer

About the role

The Alliance Française de Perth is seeking a creative and autonomous Events & Communications Officer to join its team full‑time. This role will drive the planning, delivery and promotion of cultural programmes and French language courses, enhancing the Alliance’s visibility across the Perth community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver a calendar of cultural events, including the French Film Festival, Bastille Day celebrations and exhibitions.
• Liaise with media, artists, partners, sponsors and suppliers to ensure smooth logistics and high‑quality outcomes.
• Assist with event budgeting, expense tracking and financial compliance.
• Provide on‑site support for evening and weekend events.
• Develop and implement annual communication plans for courses and events.
• Design and produce marketing materials such as flyers, brochures and signage.
• Create engaging content for social media, newsletters and press releases.
• Maintain and update the Alliance website with accurate information.
• Manage targeted media campaigns using Google Ads, Meta Ads and AI‑based tools.
• Ensure all communications align with the Alliance Française brand and visual identity.

Required profile

• Demonstrated creativity and strong organisational abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as event support.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with media and cultural partners.
