Event Parking Officer (Casual Pool)

About the role

The City of Vincent is seeking expressions of interest to increase its pool of casual Event Parking Officers ahead of a busy event season. The role contributes to enforcing the City's Parking Local Law while providing a high standard of customer service to residents and visitors. It sits in the Infrastructure and Environment Directorate, within Ranger Services, and reports to the Event Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice and information about parking at events as required
• Enforce the Parking Local Law and record evidence supporting infringements and notices
• Safely manage vehicle parking at event car parking facilities
• Promote a positive image of the City's operations and services and follow the Customer Service Charter
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and report accidents and incidents
• Comply with equal opportunity and diversity principles

Required profile

• Ability to enforce parking local laws
• Flexibility to work weekend and evening shifts
• Current driver's licence (essential)
• National Police Certificate obtained within the last 6 months
• Year 10 completion (or equivalent)
• Experience working with minimal supervision and in a customer service environment; local government or law enforcement experience desirable

Required skills

• Sound verbal and written communication and negotiation/dispute resolution skills
• Well-developed customer service and interpersonal skills
