Casual HBF Park Event Staff

About the role

VenuesWest, which owns and operates major WA sport and entertainment venues including HBF Park, is hiring casual event staff to help deliver events at the park. Positions are paid at Level 3 to 5 VWGA ($40.22-$49.25 per hour plus superannuation) and cover roles such as Area Supervisor, Event Supervisor, Gate Lead, CCTV Operator, Event Day Backfill, Pier Street Carpark Attendant and Bump In Captains Run. Casual hours depend on event needs and can include late-night and weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the venue, including toilets, food and beverage outlets, emergency evacuation points and operational requirements
• Supervise gate scanning staff, manage queues and handle ticketing issues during the event
• Take part in the Emergency Management Structure on event day, understand your role in an emergency and follow the direction of your Zone/Stand Supervisor
• Manage customer complaints, first aid incidents, lost children and other issues, and complete end-of-shift reports
• CCTV Operator: check cameras are operational, monitor ingress and report issues to Venue Control
• Park attendant: keep accurate records and allow only those with a valid parking pass or on the list into the carpark
• Bump In Captains Run: set up changerooms, gates and bollards, install accreditation boards and other setup tasks

Required profile

• Right to work in Australia for the duration of the contract
• National police clearance valid within the last 12 months (cost borne by the applicant)
• Strong communication, interpersonal and troubleshooting skills, and people management skills for supervisory roles
