Estimator – Remedial Construction

About the role

This full‑time Estimator position is based in St. Peters, Sydney and focuses on preparing detailed cost estimates for remedial construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, site teams and clients to ensure accurate budgeting and successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quantity take‑offs from drawings and specifications.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotes and develop competitive tenders.
• Prepare budgets, cost data and access methodologies for repair and rehabilitation works.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams on tender submissions and cost tracking.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and clients to clarify requirements and monitor cost changes.

Required profile

• Strong construction estimating experience, preferably on remedial or refurbishment projects.
• Good knowledge of access types and equipment to develop workable access plans for tenders.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications accurately.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Relevant hands‑on experience in building repair, rehabilitation or structural remediation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with estimating software (Offsider).
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Quantity take‑off and cost analysis abilities.
• Understanding of industry standards, building codes and WHS requirements.
