Environmental Manager

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced leader to head its Victorian Environmental team, delivering and expanding a pipeline of projects across energy, defence, transport and water sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a high‑performing team of 60+ professionals delivering contamination assessment, remediation, approvals and sustainability services.
• Drive business growth for the Geosciences and Remediation Services (GRS) portfolio across Victoria and Australia.
• Develop and implement innovative strategies, leveraging global expertise to transform the GRS business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and industry partners.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in the environmental industry with a strong professional network.
• Proven ability to lead, inspire and develop high‑performing multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong commercial and strategic judgement balancing risk and profitability.

Required skills

• Expertise in contamination assessment, remediation and environmental planning.
• Knowledge of approvals, permitting processes and sustainability practices.
