Sector Manager, Water Infrastructure - Victoria

About the role

AECOM’s Water Infrastructure group is seeking a proactive and collaborative Sector Manager, Water Infrastructure based in Melbourne. In this leadership role you will drive delivery excellence, strengthen client relationships and support team growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of the Water Infrastructure strategy in Victoria, driving client engagement, market growth and project delivery.
• Ensure technical and delivery excellence, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, governance and client satisfaction.
• Cultivate a collaborative, high‑performing team culture by mentoring staff and providing technical direction.
• Leverage regional and global expertise to drive innovation, implement best practices and enhance delivery outcomes.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary degree and CPEng registration.
• Extensive knowledge of the Australian water infrastructure market and local government frameworks.
• Proven experience in mentoring, leadership and collaboration.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Commercial and strategic acumen to balance profitability, efficiency and market insight.
