About the role
AECOM is seeking an Environment Consultant to support impact assessment projects across Queensland. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver environmental assessments, secure regulatory approvals and develop sustainable solutions for a variety of infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, ecologists and other specialists to assess project impacts and develop compliant solutions.
- Gather environmental data and prepare comprehensive assessments for diverse industry projects.
- Liaise with government agencies and stakeholders to obtain permits and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to sustainability strategies that minimise impacts, promote biodiversity and integrate innovative solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal teams and external partners.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Management, Engineering or related planning discipline.
- Minimum 2 years experience in development approvals, planning and consulting across multiple sectors.
- Knowledge of Queensland and Commonwealth environmental and planning legislation.
- Ability to interpret technical content and apply it to project delivery.
- Adaptable and willing to work across various client types and sectors.
