About the role

Whitefriars College seeks a talented, enthusiastic and innovative educator to deliver high‑quality English instruction, including VCE English and VCE VM Literacy, starting January 2027. The role is centred on supporting the holistic development of boys in a Catholic, Carmelite tradition.

Key responsibilities

Plan, deliver and assess VCE English and VCE VM Literacy curricula.
Contribute to pastoral care, co‑curricular programs and school policies.
Foster respectful relationships and respond to diverse intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs of students.

Required profile

Demonstrated passion for teaching and ability to engage students of varying abilities.
Commitment to the college’s child‑safe environment and Catholic values.
Willingness to take collective ownership of school programmes and policies.

Required skills

Proficiency in teaching VCE English.
Proficiency in teaching VCE VM Literacy.
