Engineering Internship (Unpaid)

About the role

Engineering People offers an unpaid internship for people taking their first step into industry, based in its Nunawading office from late July to mid-October 2026. It combines hands-on workshop experience with power tools such as welding, interpersonal (EQ) skill development and ongoing mentoring, plus the chance to contribute to live recruitment from day one and speak with industry clients.

Key responsibilities

• Cold call possible clients and call back clients previously contacted
• Work on engineering documentation and practical engineering projects in groups
• Take part in sales training and team work
• Develop your CV and LinkedIn profile

Required profile

• Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Currently in your penultimate or final year of study, or a recent graduate, in Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil engineering
• Commute to the Nunawading office within 45 minutes
• Available two days per week, 8:15 to 16:00
• Access to steel-capped safety boots and work pants
• Willingness to try cold calling, with training provided
