Engagement Officer – Communications & Outreach

About the role

The Engagement Officer, Communications and Outreach will drive connection across the College, its four Schools and the wider university community. Working from the City Campus, you will coordinate outreach initiatives, craft communication plans and support events that showcase research, teaching and partnership achievements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver outreach and engagement activities that align with the College’s strategic goals.
• Develop, implement and monitor annual communication and engagement plans.
• Lead event planning from concept through to delivery, ensuring stakeholder involvement.
• Capture and share stories that celebrate research, teaching and industry collaborations.
• Support project reporting, improve systems and processes, and maintain effective communication channels.

Required profile

• Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proven experience delivering communications and outreach programmes.
• Excellent collaboration and organisational skills.
• Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in communications, marketing or a related field.

Required skills

• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Project coordination and event management.
• Ability to develop and execute communication plans.
