Engagement & Community Officer

About the role

RSL LifeCare is seeking an Engagement & Community Officer to join its team at the Queanbeyan Veteran and Family Hub on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role supports current and former Defence personnel and their families, acting as the welcoming face of the Hub with a focus on client wellbeing, community service liaison, event coordination and social media management.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service to clients and advocate for the community
• Support client wellbeing appointments
• Handle community service liaison and event coordination
• Manage social media for the Hub

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Community Services (essential)
• Experience in community, welfare or human services settings
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of, or experience with, the Australian Defence Force community (highly desirable)
• Valid police check and/or NDIS worker check, verified before starting work
