Employment Consultant - Workforce Australia

About the role

APM Group is recruiting an Employment Consultant for its Redfern, NSW site within the Workforce Australia program. The role helps people find employment that changes their lives by matching participants with employers who understand their needs, and supports them to build confidence and take on their new jobs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify employment opportunities for participants with employers who understand their needs.
• Help participants see their strengths, overcome obstacles and take on their new employment with renewed purpose.
• Provide creative solutions to employment challenges so every participant has the tools and support they need.
• Celebrate each successful placement, big and small.
• Build partnerships with companies passionate about diversity and inclusion.

Required profile

• A champion of diversity and inclusion, believing everyone deserves a chance to succeed.
• A natural connector who creates opportunities for participants and speaks confidently with stakeholders.
• Innovative and solutions-focused, seeing challenges as opportunities.
• Compassionate and empathetic, wanting a lasting positive impact on others' lives.
• Experience in other fields such as sales, retail, call centre, hospitality, consulting, business development or administration is an advantage.
