About the role

APM is recruiting an Employment Consultant for its Inclusive Employment Australia Program at the Casuarina, NT site. The role supports people with disability to find and keep sustainable employment, helping each person identify their employment match and build confidence in their new job.

Key responsibilities

• Support participants with disability to prepare for, find and maintain sustainable employment
• Help participants see their strengths, overcome obstacles and take on their new employment with renewed purpose
• Create creative solutions to employment challenges and give participants the tools and support they need
• Advocate for inclusive hiring practices and workplace adjustments
• Build partnerships with companies committed to diversity and inclusion

Required profile

• A champion of diversity and inclusion who believes everyone deserves a chance to succeed
• A natural connector who creates opportunities for participants and speaks confidently to stakeholders
• Innovative and solutions-focused, seeing challenges as opportunities
• Compassionate and empathetic, wanting a lasting positive impact on others' lives
• Experience in other fields such as sales, retail, call centre, hospitality, consulting, business development or administration is an advantage
