Employee Relations Partner

About the role

CleanCo, a low-emission energy retailer, generator and developer backed by the Queensland Government, is hiring an Employee Relations Partner in Brisbane. The role provides practical advice to leaders and employees, helps resolve workplace matters early, fairly and consistently, and supports enterprise bargaining. It is a six-month maximum-term position with hybrid work and occasional day travel.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a moderate caseload of employee matters, including grievances, disputes, performance management and disciplinary processes.
• Advise leaders on policies, enterprise agreements, legislation and workplace decisions.
• Improve policies, tools and guidance so people processes are clearer and more consistent.
• Support enterprise bargaining through research, drafting and stakeholder coordination.
• Build relationships with leaders, employees, unions and P&C colleagues.
• Identify emerging risks, escalate when needed and keep accurate, confidential records.

Required profile

• Demonstrated practical ER/IR experience in a complex workplace.
• Experience managing employee cases from initial assessment to resolution.
• Experience advising leaders and working within a unionised workforce.
• Previous experience appearing in the Industrial Relations or Fair Work Commission is advantageous.
• Relevant bachelor qualification in law, human resources, business or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of employment law, enterprise agreements and workplace regulations.
• Ability to write clear advice, correspondence and policy content in accessible formats.
