Emergency Registrar ACEM Trainee Year 2

About the role

The Emergency Department of one of Melbourne’s busiest hospitals is seeking an ACEM Year 2 Registrar to join the team from August 2025 to February 2026. This position offers exposure to a high‑volume ED, a dedicated Short Stay Unit, and a paediatric emergency training stream.

Key responsibilities

• Provide acute medical assessment and management to adult and paediatric patients in a fast‑track environment.
• Participate in procedural training within the Short Stay Unit and Fast Track area.
• Contribute to the paediatric logbook and PEM (Paediatric Emergency Medicine) training requirements.
• Collaborate with advanced musculoskeletal physiotherapists, nurse practitioners, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to AHPRA registration standards.

Required profile

• PGY4 level or equivalent with an MBBS (or comparable) qualification.
• Current medical registration with AHPRA or a comparable health authority (UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, New Zealand, Australia).
• Eligibility to register as a Medical Practitioner in Australia.
