Emergency Medicine Registrar – Melbourne’s Largest ED

About the role

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Registrar to join one of Melbourne’s largest public health services, which handles over 150,000 emergency department attendances each year. The role offers a dynamic training environment with hands‑on workshops, comprehensive teaching and opportunities for research and quality‑improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality clinical care to patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Participate in the department’s teaching program, including primary and fellowship education.
• Engage in quality‑improvement initiatives and leadership training in line with ACEM standards.
• Contribute to research activities and support ACEM examination preparation.
• Collaborate with a dedicated teaching team and over 50 FACEMs across the network.

Required profile

• Medical degree with current registration to practice in Australia.
• Eligibility for ACEM training; ACEM trainee status is desirable.
• Experience at the level of Junior Registrar (HMO3+) is considered.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and teaching.
