Emergency Medicine Consultant (FACEM) – Goldfields Region, WA

About the role

The WA Country Health Service is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Consultant (FACEM) to join the Goldfields regional emergency department. This senior clinical position offers a blend of direct patient care, leadership, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across a remote health network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support multidisciplinary teams including senior and junior medical staff, nurses, administrators and support personnel.
• Provide 24/7 emergency care on a rotating roster and on‑call coverage.
• Collaborate with the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Rural Clinical School of WA and the WACHS Command Centre.
• Deliver culturally responsive care, with particular focus on Aboriginal health equity.
• Participate in education and training of junior staff and medical students.

Required profile

• Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM).
• Significant experience in rural or remote emergency medicine settings.
• Demonstrated clinical excellence, resilience and a collaborative approach.
• Commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal communities.

What we offer

• Total remuneration between $395,490 and $502,265 per annum (inclusive of base salary, superannuation and allowances).
