Electrical Tradesperson for Major Water Infrastructure Project

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Electrical Tradesperson to join the Alkimos Desalination Plant project in Perth. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a flagship water infrastructure project scheduled for first production in 2028.

Key responsibilities

• Install and assemble low‑voltage (LV) and high‑voltage (HV) switchboards across the plant.
• Terminate power, control and instrumentation cables, and secure cabling in trays, conduits and underground services.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and diagrams, assist with cable pulling, and support testing and fault finding.
• Perform QA checks, participate in toolbox talks, and collaborate closely with the wider construction team.

Required profile

• WA Electrical Workers Licence (essential).
• Australian Electrical Trade Qualification and Construction White Card.
• Valid certifications for Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, First Aid/CPR, and Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence.
• Experience on major infrastructure, water or industrial projects with a strong safety‑first attitude.

Required skills

• PLC, HV Switching or Hazardous Area (EEHA/Ex) certification.
• Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation or Industrial Electronics (desirable).
• Certified Profibus/Profinet installer (desirable).
