Electrical Leading Hand – Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

An experienced Electrical Leading Hand is needed to lead daily electrical maintenance at a key processing facility of a large ASX‑listed manufacturing business. You will provide technical expertise, mentor the electrical team and ensure plant reliability while supporting growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support daily electrical maintenance activities across the site.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to electricians and contractors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and automation issues to minimise production downtime.
• Drive preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives to improve asset reliability.
• Support capital projects, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Maintenance teams to optimise plant performance.
• Assist with maintenance planning, shutdown execution and resource coordination.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years' industrial electrical trade experience.
• Exposure to instrumentation and automation systems (highly regarded).
• Background in FMCG, oil & gas, chemical, steel or heavy manufacturing preferred.
• Proven ability to lead a team and build capability.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, interested in complex technical issues.
• Strategic technical ownership for the site.
