Electrical Engineer (Platforms)

About the role

Join KBR as an Electrical Engineer (Platforms) to support critical Electrical Platform Systems for Defence programmes. You will provide expert technical guidance, lead field services, and ensure the reliability, performance and safety of mission‑critical capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide platform systems engineering subject‑matter expertise and technical guidance for CLCM activities.
• Deliver engineering outputs for changes, ensure compliance with policies, and manage systems‑engineering processes including requirements, integration, verification, validation and testing.
• Govern technical certification, conduct design reviews, risk assessments and oversee configuration control.
• Review subcontractor quotations, develop task statements, and manage request for variations and problem resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in Defence or marine design.
• Eligibility for ITAR clearance and active NV1 Defence Security Clearance (Baseline or above).
• Membership or eligibility for a recognised professional engineering body.

Required skills

• Electrical engineering expertise for platform systems.
• Requirements development, design review and acceptance within regulated frameworks.
• Systems certification, configuration management and safety case evaluation.
• Experience with Defence standards, ITAR compliance and marine maintenance.
