Electrical Design Manager

About the role

Lead the detailed electrical, instrumentation and control (EI&C) design for complex water and wastewater treatment projects across Australia, shaping safe, coordinated and constructable solutions from concept through handover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead EI&C design for treatment plants, recycling plants, pumping stations and network assets, developing robust HV, LV, instrumentation, PLC/SCADA, telemetry and communications solutions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary and construction interfaces, including brownfield staging and cutovers, and drive design assurance, safety, constructability and operability reviews.
• Manage a multi‑office team, allocate work, forecast resourcing needs and oversee programmes, budgets, scope, risks and stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• 8+ years of electrical design experience with leadership responsibility, preferably on water or wastewater projects for Australian utilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; CPEng, NER or Victorian Professional Engineer registration preferred.
• Proven ability to communicate confidently with clients, contractors, vendors and senior stakeholders.
