Electrical and Instrumentation Manager

About the role

Coogee, a manufacturer, distributor and supplier of industrial, agricultural and mineral processing chemicals founded in 1971, is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Manager to support the Engineering Services Manager in delivering all required E,I&C project deliverables. You will lead a team of seven EI&C professionals (engineers, designers, supervisors, control systems engineers and drafting staff) and provide technical oversight so that projects are delivered safely, compliantly and to scope, schedule and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team of E&I professionals to deliver the E&I&C aspects of site projects
• Develop project plans, manage budgets and ensure deliverables are met on time and to a high standard
• Liaise with stakeholders, contractors and internal teams to coordinate project activities
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications, drawings and reports
• Provide technical support and problem-solving during project execution
• Ensure projects comply with relevant regulations, standards and safety requirements
• Support engineering design, technical reviews and site work, and drive improvements to standards, processes and project delivery

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 years' experience as an Electrical or Instrumentation Engineer in chemicals, resources or manufacturing
• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team of E&I professionals
• Project management skills for complex engineering projects
• Familiarity with relevant Australian and international electrical and instrumentation standards
• Right to live and work in Australia
