Electrical and Control Systems Engineer

About the role

An established market leader in electrical and engineering solutions is recruiting an Engineer to report directly to the Engineering Manager and work closely with project delivery teams. The role is hands-on and helps support growing project demands. The client focuses on complex electrical and control systems projects and values genuine output over desk polishing.

Key responsibilities

• Handle electrical and control systems design work, including functional specifications and technical drawings.
• Manage RTU, PLC, HMI and radio configuration, programming, testing and commissioning, alongside SCADA system development.
• Design and analyse radio and communications systems.
• Maintain and diagnose hardware such as radios, antennas, RTUs/PLCs, computers and switchboards.
• Deliver client consultations, support and technical sales assistance while meeting customer expectations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical and control systems design and industrial automation delivery.
• Proactive, autonomous professional who makes logical decisions unsupervised, with a flexible and obliging attitude.
• Excellent communication skills for client consultations, stakeholder management and team collaboration.
• Commitment to high safety standards and adherence to workplace health and safety protocols.

Required skills

• RTU, PLC, HMI and SCADA programming, testing and commissioning.
• Knowledge of radio and communications infrastructure, hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting.
